Program Details

Our Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) program offers comprehensive mental health care to individuals who need more structured support than outpatient services can provide. Residents receive 24-hour supervision and access to a range of therapeutic services, including individual therapy, group therapy, case management, and medication management. Our team works collaboratively with residents to develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs, promote self-sufficiency, and help them progress toward their goals of recovery. 
In addition to mental health treatment, we emphasize life skills development, community integration, and personal empowerment to equip individuals with the tools they need for long-term success. The program aims to foster emotional healing, improve daily functioning, and support residents in their journey toward living independently.

Eligibility Criteria

Our IRTS program is designed for adults who need more structured support than outpatient services can provide. To be eligible for admission, individuals must meet all of the following requirements.
Age Requirement — Must be 18 years of age or older
MHCP Eligibility — Must be eligible for Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP)
Mental Illness Diagnosis — Diagnosed with a qualifying mental illness
Functional Impairment — Impairment in 3 or more areas due to mental illness, as determined by functional assessment
One or more additional qualifying factors:
History of recurring or prolonged inpatient hospitalizations in the past year
Significant independent living instability
Homelessness or housing insecurity
Frequent use of mental health services with poor outcomes
Cannot be met by other available community-based services, or risk of crisis without IRTS support
